What Matthew has to say about this route:
I have to concur with Anthony on this one, the gravel was incredible, but there wasn't enough of it.
The route did have a bit of everything though, technical descents (the kind at which I had to "psych myself up for"), smooth fast hard pack gravel, and beautiful roads.
For those who want to have lots of "escape routes" this is for you, even as you venture further into the mountains the road home is always nearby.
What Anthony has to say about this route:
The gravel sections of this ride were great. The only problem was there weren't enough of them.
Quite fire-roads and stunning scenery. We even stopped for a "coffee stop" on a log in the woods.
The trails don't link together very well. Long sections of road riding are required to access the trails, the road riding is picturesque though.
Difficulty rating: Beginner / Intermediate
This route is classified as beginner to intermediate, however there are some steep and very technical descents, including the first off-road descent and the final off-road descent. If attempting them, ensure you commit to it and let the bike do the work.
